Here's a shoot that I had discussed with Chelsea for a while before we got around to it. We wanted to shoot her in Calvin Klein underwear for a #MyCK gallery. I didn't want to do the typical bedroom shots but wanted to shoot it in public somewhere. A beautiful woman wandering downtown in her underwear might cause an accident so we hit up the Dartmouth Commons early on a Saturday morning. If I'm getting up early for a shoot I'd love to get a few looks with more than one model, so we asked another girl (Kelsey) to join us as well! Kelsey and I were trying to arrange our first shoot for so long, and this time it finally worked out! Yes Kelsey's first time ever modeling was in her underwear in a public park and she killed it! She's so outgoing and confident that she was running around playing in the grass when not shooting, regardless of who was walking by or watching lol This was my 5th shoot with Chelsea, first with Kelsey, and I can't wait to shoot with both again!
Here are Chelsea's shots first;
And of course I love shooting two stunning models together, and their initials are C.K., so I had to get some shots with both girls!
That's it, thanks for following!
This throwback post is my first and last shoot with Samantha Dixon! She's such an amazing woman; so outgoing, full of energy, and creative. Sam spent most of the shoot dancing and singing along to songs she didn't know. We had talked about shooting together for months before it finally happened, and for a studio shoot it was so much fun! I hope you like them, and I hope I get to shoot with this girl the next time she comes to visit.
Yes this last shot is a candid of her dancing along to the Rival Sons! Ahhh you're awesome Sam, don't ever change!
Thanks for following,
I apologize for missing a few weeks, things have been busy! This throwback is to my first shoot with Hannah in early April 2015. We shot a couple different outfits in the lobby of the Prince George Hotel in downtown Halifax. I got a few photos that I absolutely love during this shoot! Most photos shot with a 50mm f1.4 and an 85mm f1.8, using a 20 inch Octa with a Nikon Speedlight.
After getting some great shots at the Prince George, we did a few studio shots in my livingroom with a few more outfits she had brought.
I first started working with models through shooting yoga photos for friends! I found Tricia through my friend Stephanie and I was very excited when she said she would be up for a yoga shoot! We shot at Morris Lake in Dartmouth, and the evening light was beautiful! I've shot Tricia a couple times since and I'm sure there is more to come!
Shoot date was October 10, 2014; long before I had any clue what I was doing!
This is a throwback to my first ever shoot with the wonderful Mandy Brown back on September 18, 2015! Mandy is the first model I was ever nervous to shoot with as she had lots of experience modeling before me. We tried to find time for months for this to happen and finally one day our schedules aligned and we packed up my car and went off in search of locations. We couldn't find the tracks Mandy wanted to shoot at, and I randomly drove past what looked like train tracks so I walked through the woods and found our first location!
Mandy turned out to be just as beautiful and talented as I had hoped! Happy with the shots from our first location and not wishing to tempt fate playing on train tracks any longer, we went to a location I'd shot once before with Aiyana, Shubie Park. Mandy shined once again, as you'll see below!
I've shot with Mandy a couple times since, and she has a model page on facebook if you would like to see more of her, or check out her Instagram at @mandyxobrown. I miss Mandy, and hopefully I'll get to shoot with her soon with her baby bump!
Thanks for visiting!
